About this deal

Mendor - a 1/1/1 character with ranged who lets every player draw a card after completing a quest card, including side quests! Plus he readies after completing a quest. Given that the next lot of quests comes out in less than 2 months time there is plenty of content for new players to cut their teeth on while waiting for the first Saga expansion.

Return to one of the earlier cycles of content for The Lord of the Rings LCG with the Angmar Awakened Hero Expansion and Angmar Awakened Campaign Expansion. These two products combine all of the content from The Lost Realm and the corresponding Angmar Awakened cycle. All of the player cards from those expansions can be found in the Hero Expansion while all the scenario-related cards can be found in the Campaign Expansion, along with some new campaign cards that weren’t part of the original release. This is the perfect opportunity for new fans of the game to experience this cycle of content, and for longtime fans to catch up on any parts they may have missed. Whether you want just one of the expansions or both, no fan of the game will want to miss Angmar Awakened! Whilst the Hero Expansion will only contain content already found in the original Angmar Awakened and The Lost Realm cycles, the Campaign Expansion will feature some entirely new scenarios. Both expansions will require players have a copy of either the original core set or the recently released Revised Core Set for The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game. There are also Boon cards and Burden cards, boons are beneficial cards that players can earn by completing certain tasks or outcomes as described by the campaign cards, and the Burden cards are detrimental cards that players can earn through the quests. A majority of the hero cards pertain specifically to Dunedain and elves, so if you enjoy using those heroes and you’d like to buff them, this could be a great expansion for you to snag. Ents make an appearance as allies here as well, and they are quite powerful, but you have to plan ahead because they enter play exhausted. Each campaign is its own self-contained experience. The boons, burdens, and other modifications earned in a campaign do not carry over into other games or campaigns, unless explicitly stated by a card ability (such as the Resolution effect on the Campaign Card for Escape from Dol Guldur)." Even if you have no interest in the heroes, allies, or other player cards of the Hero Expansion, you can still look forward to a thrilling campaign in the Angmar Awakened Campaign Expansion! With great discoveries and lost ruins to be found, only you and your fellow heroes can safely guide the Dream-chaser and its fleet throughout its voyage. Whether you missed the original version of the Dream-chaser cycle or are just now getting into The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game, you can look forward to adding the Dream-chaser Hero Expansion and Dream-chaser Campaign Expansion to your collection when they both release this summer!

The Dread Realm: Reanimation of player cards that function as enemies with set stats engaged with the player. An enemy invincible as long as there are sorcery treachery cards in play and each time you attempt to damage him one of these cards are removed from the game. Lonely men are we, Rangers of the wild, hunters – but hunters ever of the servants of the Enemy.” – Aragorn, The Fellowship of the Ring Campaign expansions provide new scenarios while transporting players to different areas of Middle-earth and introducing more of the unique encounters found therein. The Angmar Awakened campaign is quite difficult, but new players might miss that it's possible to carry over boons from the Mirkwood Paths campaign into your "next" campaign. I'm convinced the designers intended for players to use this to make the Angmar Awakened campaign easier and more approachable. The Angmar Awakened Hero Expansion includes 8 heroes for The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game, as well as all of the player cards and customization options featured in The Lost Realm and the original Angmar Awakened cycle. Use iconic characters like Aragorn and Arwen to quest through Middle-earth and thwart dangerous foes. Rise to the occasion by using valor cards and partake in new adventures pursuing thrilling side quests. The new ships aren’t the only things unique to this expansion. You’ll also find a plethora of new campaign cards, including upgrades for your ships, such as Armor Plating Dream-chaser CE, 172) or a Ballista Dream-chaser CE, 173). However, you can also upgrade the ships themselves, flipping them over to their stronger versions!

In the Angmar Awakened Campaign Expansion, players will find a storyline built from the original The Lost Realm and Angmar Awakened cycles. In the expansion, players will be initially aiding the Dúnedain in hunting some roaming orcs, before things start to escalate further beyond anyone expected. Eventually, players will be going up against entire war parties of orcs and wraiths, until experiencing a final showdown in the capital of Angmar. Whilst the side quest cards in the Hero Expansion offer nice optional incentives for players, the side quest cards in the Campaign Expansion will result in something bad if they’re not dealt with – drastically changing the motivation behind completing them. Tyler Parrott (the designer) clarified that the #2 effect that says "do not adjust the Campaign Pool for your next campaign" simply means that you do not add Mendor to your Campaign pool, and you do not get to carry anything over into the next campaign. It does NOT mean (as I thought previously) that you get to take everything in your campaign pool after the Mirkwood Paths campaign into your next campaign. Whether or not you heed the call of the Hero Expansion, you can still look forward to a high seas adventure in the Dream-chaser Campaign Expansion!Strider’ am I to one fat man who lives within a day’s march of foes that would freeze his heart, or lay his little town in ruin, if he were not guarded ceaselessly.” – Aragorn, The Fellowship of the Ring

As a Living Card Game®, The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game continually explores new lands and adventures within Middle-earth, and it offers a wealth of customization. Accordingly, each player gains the freedom to choose which role they will play and how they will contribute to the group’s overall success. Play Your Part The Battle of Carn Dum: 2 sided enemy, Thaurdir, lots of shadow cards brought out onto enemies in the staging area that on certain enemies increase the amount of threat they have. For millennia, the Elves of the Grey Havens have built beautiful, majestic white ships to sail into the West. No one knows the seas as well as they, but these Noldor sailors and navigators must remain ever vigilant. A storm is brewing on the horizon, and something foul awaits on a forgotten isle of Númenor. The sphere of Leadership emphasizes the charismatic and inspirational influence of a hero, and that hero’s potential to lead, inspire, and command both allies and other heroes alike.
