About this deal

The male characters are of all ages but are all suitably lecherous and often affect a strait-laced hypocrisy which is almost self-mockery.

Janus appears to have commissioned very little original photography in its early years, even after the introduction of colour pages. There is almost no dialogue between the characters, with the exception of a couple of epistolary novels. Selected illustrations by Paula Meadows and Hardcastle formed the contents of two special publications in 1997 entitled The Janus Collection.Recurrent features included ‘Dateline USA’ by Al Green, reporting on spanking in American culture, and ‘Collector’s Corner’ by Murray Roberts, examining spankings in mainstream cinema and literature. It was published in two series: the first (1971-1980) was numbered in yearly volumes of twelve issues each, ending with Vol. In our featuressection you’ll find the finest spanking stories from the pages of Janus and fascinating interviews with some of the people who helped create this famous CP brand.

Although I’ve heard of Janus, perhaps the best-known of all spanking magazines I was curious to find out more about that world of spanking magazines.

I think less time was spent on the creative (sometimes the model was meant to be a man, yet they used a girl). To whip Karen Dearlove’s bottom again in its present state is true severity–but offers you dark excitements.

Yet she could not help but cry out, sotte voce as far as she could control herself, at each burning blow.In 1973, the editor and publishers were prosecuted under the Obscene Publications Act and acquitted. Set in New Orleans and the American South on the cusp of the Civil War, this is a tale of slavery, and in particular the acquisition of harems of young woman by southern patriarchs. The work is notable for mocking protestations of both correspondents that they are upholders of moral virtue and the canings and birchings inflicted richly deserved. Charlie regales Lizzie with details of his rampages among his young pupils and she, in turn, reveals the secrets of the Pasha.

Linda ( Evelyn Simmonds) incurs punishment by neglecting her schoolwork and trying on her aunt’s lingerie. She approached Sir Charles’s desk nervously: that this was her sixth New Year in the house scarcely made it easier. Jean de Villiot is a much used pseudonym associated with Carrington and conceals a multitude of mostly unknown authors). I am thrilled to report the considerable progress being made over at the brand spanking new Janus Worldwide web-site … photographer Roy Tersley, who is lovingly digitizing as many original versions of Janus, Roué, Februs and Blushes as he can get his hands on, has recently become something of a spanko celebrity, being interviewed both by Dave over at The Cherry Red Report and by MarQe (a fellow fan of Miss Nicola Redway btw) over at The Study. In the middle seventies he published a series of crime novels, under the pseudonym of Francis Selwyn, about the cases of a Sergeant Verity set in the 1850’s and 1860’s. These are followed by three extracts from Birch in the Boudoir, Nights of the Rajah and The Days at Florville, all most definitely not Victoriana. Janus ceased to produce videos as a result of the Video Recordings Act 1984, which required that all videos offered for sale in Britain carry a classification by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC).
