About this deal

With 104 keys, it follows the standard QWERTY keyboard layout and does not have a scroll feature or built-in touchpad. It has the benefit of a small receptacle in the underside to carry the miniscule USB Desktop Receiver, not especially useful except in transit!

Plus, Microsoft keyboards are designed with advanced tech for optimal performance and functionality when connected wirelessly!Battery life is extremely good, I can never remember how long they last exactly as weeks pass by without having to charge them and I use my computer for 10+ hours a day. The mute and volume buttons are very handy too, if you were using this to control a computer linked to a big TV they would be even more so.

The included Microsoft Wireless Mouse 1000 is an excellent 3-switch optical mouse - very comfortable to hold and manipulate. If you have selected recycling, please ensure your existing appliance is disconnected (and defrosted where relevant) before our team arrive.

I don't know about you, but I use ESC quite a lot and even though I have quite thin fingers I found myself pushing the fascia above the key more then the key itself.

The absent Num and Caps lock lights are missed, but these functions show up on my laptop and can be seen from a distance. The mouse has a odd battery fitting - nothing difficult, just unusual as the battery sites perpendicular to the battery access cover! You must test the connection of your Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 800 and your computer to ensure it is successful. That said, it does look seriously nice and would compliment any machine with a black case (as mine has) perfectly.

As for the second question, yes, you can connect a mouse from a different company to one port, and the keyboard to another port and use them simultaneously. If you wish to enter the computer BIOS, or start in Safe Mode, ensure that the Receiver is plugged into a USB socket on the Motherboard, or a front socket arising from a USB header on the Motherboard. It will work quite happily if plugged into USB sockets on the back of my PC, whereas most of the earlier receivers I used were very fussy about position, and had limited range. The Microsoft Keyboard 800 is black, and smaller and slightly more cramped than the Medion, with the QWERTY, navigation and numerical keypads butting up to each other (as in a large laptop). That is to say the build quality looks and feels like something that isn't going to break if you stare at it the wrong way. This is a keyboard why anyone would want to be 15 feet from the screen I have no idea as this most certainly is not a multimedia keyboard which surely you would seek to use for desktop surfing when used with a computer connected say to your large screen television.
