About this deal

Each of these is worth 10 points if you achieve the objective by the end of the game using a combination of your four Underground lines. Additionally, the variability in length of the rounds will have a trickle down effect on how a game goes. But as I mentioned at the top of my comments; the game has plenty of ways to make each game a little different from the last, and thus far, I’m not tired of this same map. On future turns players can extend from the end of their specific coloured line to an additional symbol.

At the end of the game, players score 10 points for each of these objectives whose criteria are met. There’s been excitement at our table when a card draw doesn’t go our way, followed by a moment of silence in times where the draw prohibits a legal move thus necessitating a missed turn. Your aim is to score as many points as you can by optimising the routes of the four underground lines on your map of London. The game lasts four rounds and in each round players will be drawing networks from their starting departure station to another station.I have found that leads to an interesting problem when trying for high scores—the scores seem like they will be higher if you can use the exchange card. Your points are the number of districts you connect with your line times the most Stations connected by your line in any one district. Scoring in Next Station London is tight at both two and three players and the solo challenge has been a treat. Each round scores how many districts your route visits multiplied by the most stations you have in the busiest district.

Routes travel on a single path and must not cross other train lines, except at stations, which is encouraged for scoring opportunities. With any fewer than four players, you just set aside the pencils that would be used by those players on their turn if they were in the game.Score as many points as you can by optimising the routes of the four underground lines on your map in London. You will score the points for the leftmost uncrossed circle on your Tourist Site line at the bottom. There are a total of 11 Station cards: 6 Street cards (blue background) and 5 Underground Cards (pink and yellow background). When I first opened Next Station: London—and it is a handsome production, right down to the magnetic metal closing lid—I was worried about a few things, which turned into concerns tied to the game’s level of endurance.
