Remove any loose material such as old paint, grease, dirt, mould or defective wallpaper. Soluguard Multi-Surface Biocide can be used for wetting mould-contaminated wallpaper prior to removing it. 2. If necessary, apply an appropriate primer or sealer to new, unprimed or porous plaster and wooden surfaces or bare metal. 6. For new or porous plaster surfaces use Dryzone System Mould-Resistant Emulsion Paint thinned up to 10% with clean tap water as normal good practice. Allow to dry thoroughly. This particular additive comes in a 100ml bottle which is enough to mix with around 5L of paint. This of course means you have the freedom to choose your own paint and colour and still get mould resistance. Important note: PermaSEAL Mould Resistant paint isn’t suitable for use on wood, metal or plastic or external surfaces. Please also note that this paint may not be suitable for older or listed buildings where lime plasters and breathability are key.
