About this deal

The book starts with Belladonna walking in the graveyard. As it turns out, that is where she lives because her father is so fearful of how strong she is. He’s afraid because she is basically death incarnate. She can turn anyone and anything into ash with just a thought. She can also give people nightmares, which is what she did to her father after the last time he hurt her. Our FMC is strong, sensitive and she doesn’t shy away from making the hard decisions. I always dread reading of FMC’s who hym and haw over their gifts, the “why me” whining drives me crazy! But Belladonna knows her powers, works with her strengths and tries to overcome any weaknesses she may believe she has. Narration was alright, I liked the female narrator but the male narrator was hit or miss for me. I did not lie how he did Egon’s voice, it was not for me. I thought he did a good job with the other 3 and the side characters. I appreciated the emotion we got mostly in the 1st half (some in the second). I was confused a lot by the end with her other family members. It didn’t make sense to me/was very abrupt, especially with one of them after what we saw in the first half of the book. Her emotions made sense there, the devastation was done well, but I didnt get from the family members the emotions I had wanted (was partially hindered by how the author portrayed it all as well). And it shall come to pass, when many evils and troubles are befallen them, that this song shall testify against them as a witness; for it shall not be forgotten out of the mouths of their seed: for I know their imagination which they go about, even now, before I have brought them into the land which I sware. Werewolf romance novels are my comfort reads. Whenever I need a book that is guaranteed to delight or something to pull me out of a reading slump, werewolf romances are my very first choice. Much of my obsession with werewolf romance books comes via the fated mates trope that almost always permeates these paranormal books. There is something so deliciously decadent about big bad werewolves being absolutely powerless to love and their preordained mate. It also doesn’t hurt that the fated mates trope—and therefore werewolf romances—is almost always higher up there on the heat level, since the character’s bodies recognize the need to get it on ASAP. See? Werewolf books are a guaranteed mood booster.

Rhys kisses Feyre to cover up for Tamlin but it is not exactly the most romantic of first kisses (but don’t you worry that comes later ;)). Chapter 42 of A Court of Thorns and Roses Rhys sends Feyre on a task to retrieve a ring (we later find out it is her wedding ring) from The Weaver’s cottage. Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read; No one of these shall be missing, None shall want her mate; For My mouth it hath commanded, And the breath thereof it hath gathered them.

What have you done to me?’ Rhysand stood, running a hand through his short, dark hair. ‘ It’s custom in my court for bargains to be permanently marked upon flesh.’”

Esta destinada a ser un descargo personal no para que alguien más lea pero si lo haces y te ofende, me disculpo porque sé lo que es que te guste un libro y otros lo critiquen Now go, write it before them in a table, and note it in a book, that it may be for the time to come for ever and ever:The reason she’s got so much hatred towards humans is because of a man. As a child, she was saved by another shifter and over the years convinced herself they’d be fated mates. Well, about a week before she turned 18 (about a year and a half ago), the guy found his actual fated mate, a human female, who rejected him. The guy, Aaron, reacted by becoming a lone wolf. Ever since, Heather’s had nothing but hatred in her heart towards humans. Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall be missing, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them.

Praying mantises typically begin mating in the late summer months, and mating may continue through late fall. Females may mate more than once during this time; males, if they survive their first mating encounter, may mate again as well. This book sets up some minor details for A Court of Silver Flames, so it is worth the read in that regard. But let’s talk about what goes down between Rhys and Feyre! Feyre’s Solstice Gift For Rhysand This story ended up being interesting, but I’ll admit it’s not going down as one of my favorite RH stories. Primarily because it took a direction with regards to mates that didn’t sit right with me. I won’t say too much because I feel readers/listeners should have the chance to experience it for themselves and draw their own conclusions, but it left me feeling less than satisfied and things just felt unbalanced. I also found that when it came to the narration of the story, there were some words and names in particular that the narrators pronounced differently. Now while I’m used to chalking it up to different parts of the world say things differently, in this case it felt like the names in particular the narrators and their vastly different pronunciation sometimes took me out of the moment and had me wondering who they were talking about. I felt like it was problematic and could have been solved by maybe consulting the author and then at least both of them would have been saying it the same way even if us listeners would have said it differently in our real lives. All in all, the storyline and pacing were interesting enough to want to finish and see it through once I started. I just found myself wishing certain things had been done differently. I read the story in a short three days and I liked it but I think the fast reading was why I got super confused with the time line. Whilst I thought a couple of weeks had passed, it says the story played out for almost six month while everything happened. So, there happened some confusion. I trembled and my heart failed within me, when, on looking up, I saw by the light of the moon the dæmon at the casement. A ghastly grin wrinkled his lips as he gazed on me, where I sat fulfilling the task which he had allotted to me. Yes, he had followed me in my travels; he had loitered in forests, hid himself in caves, or taken refuge in wide and desert heaths; and he now came to mark my progress and claim the fulfilment of my promise.

Belladonna and her mates had to overcome dangerous obstacles and uncover disloyalty amongst the Nobles. Someone is trying to prevent Belladonna from ascending the throne. Those who were considered Allies turned out to be Foes and the ones deemed Foes proved to be Allies. This is where Rhys and Feyre once again truly blunder the communication. They are staying in an Inn near the Illyrian war camps in the mountains, and let’s just say they get a little handsy as they cuddle up to keep warm. What’s more, males in the wild usually have more space to hide as they stealthily approach the female and more room to escape after mating. Pairs in captivity are usually kept together in a relatively small enclosure, so the male is essentially trapped with the female. Rhys and Feyre’s friendship (if you can call it that) is greatly developed Under the Mountain. Feyre finds out that Rhys said her name was Clare (the name Feyre lied to Rhys about being her own) and that she was murdered by Amarantha. I particularly liked this story because of an interesting dynamic it presented in this authors created shifter world She is this OP character that out of nowhere is being choked by a Fae King and can't get out of his hold?
